Why I Only Do Makeup (And Work Alongside a Hairstylist I Trust)

Brides sometimes ask if I do hair as well. I do not, and it is a deliberate choice. Here is why.

One craft, done fully

Makeup and hair are two different crafts. Each takes years to do at a high level. I would rather be excellent at one than adequate at both. When I focus only on your skin and your face, nothing is divided, and nothing is rushed.

Two specialists, one calm morning

For hair, I work alongside Romane, a hairstylist I trust completely. On the morning, we work side by side, hair and makeup moving together on one schedule. You are looked after by two people who each do one thing beautifully, rather than one person stretched across both.

Why it is better for you

A single person doing hair and makeup has to stop one to start the other. Timings stretch, and the morning drifts. Two specialists working in parallel keep everything calm and on time, and the result in each is simply better.

How booking works

I quote and book your makeup. Romane prices and books your hair directly. It keeps everything clear, and it means each of us is accountable for our own craft. I am always happy to introduce you.

I would rather give you the best of one thing than a compromise of two. That is the whole idea.

Beauty is actually the easy part.
