How to Prepare for Your Bridal Makeup Trial
A trial is more useful when you arrive ready. A little preparation lets us spend the time on your look, not on catching up.
Come with clean, bare skin
Arrive with no makeup, and your usual skincare done. It lets me see your skin as it truly is, and start from the same place I will on the morning.
Bring a few images, not forty
A handful of pictures you love tells me more than a huge board. Choose the ones that feel like you. It also helps to bring an image or two of looks you do not want, which can be just as telling.
Think about your dress and your day
The neckline, the mood, whether you marry in daylight or evening, indoors or out. All of it shapes the look. Bring what you know, even if the details are not yet final.
Wear something you can change out of
A top that lifts off without touching your face, so we can see the finished look with your shoulders bare, the way it will be on the day.
Say what you honestly think
This is the time to be candid. If something feels like too much, tell me. The trial exists so the morning holds no surprises, and that only works if we are honest with each other.
Come prepared, and you leave certain. That is the whole point of a trial.
Beauty is actually the easy part.
